Programme Structure

The Physiotherapy Degree Programme is a three-year, full-time course corresponding to 180 ECTS credits (60 ECTS per academic year).

The curriculum includes:

• 16 integrated courses (96 ECTS)
• Professional skills laboratories (3 ECTS)

• Clinical placements (60 ECTS)
• Medical English (2 ECTS)
• Final dissertation project (7 ECTS)

Teaching activities begin in October and are organised into two semesters, with classroom-based learning integrated with clinical training.

Clinical Placements

Clinical education represents a fundamental component of the programme and accounts for 60 ECTS credits.

Under the supervision of experienced clinical tutors, students progressively develop professional autonomy, clinical reasoning, practical skills, and decision-making abilities. Placements take place in accredited public and private healthcare facilities, including hospitals, rehabilitation centres, outpatient clinics, day-care services, and community healthcare settings.

Students gain hands-on experience across the major areas of physiotherapy practice, including musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiorespiratory, and geriatric rehabilitation, working with patients of all ages.

Final Examination

The final examination, which also qualifies graduates for professional registration, consists of:

1. A practical clinical examination designed to assess professional competence through the evaluation and/or treatment of a clinical case.
2. The discussion of an original dissertation completed under the supervision of a faculty member.

The final degree classification is based on both academic performance throughout the programme and the results of the final professional examination.
